The second appliance that is likely to develop a water leak problem is your water heater. Water heaters are continually under pressure. It is far cheaper to install a water alarm and prevent the leak in the first place.

Simply connect the motorized valve to the water supply line and place the water leak sensor on the floor at the base of the water heater. The valve will remain open unless a water leak is detected. If water is detected on the sensor then the valve will close thus shutting off the water supply and sounding an alarm. It will stay closed until the problem is rectified. You are alerted as soon as the sensor comes into contact with water so there is minimal chance that you will have expensive water damage to deal with so the risk is virtually eliminated.
